Condom Welfare

Trojan Condom

Add condoms to the list of free stuff that liberals want the government (read: the taxpayers) to pay for. Some thoughts regarding Sandra Fluke’s demand that her contraceptives be subsidized by others:

  1. Contraception is needed when a person wants to have sex without the inconvenience of those pesky kids.
  2. A box of Trojan condoms (36-count) costs $9.94 at Walmart.
  3. Ms. Fluke is a law student at Georgetown University. Tuition for law students is $46,865. She attends one of the most prestigious law schools in the country and has the audacity to demand that other people pay for her birth-control.
  4. Perhaps Ms. Fluke should ask her boyfriend(s) to cough up some dough.
  5. Should free toothbrushes be mandated as well? Who could be against dental hygiene?
  6. Ms. Fluke’s testimony before Congress can be summed up in one sentence: “Please pay for my contraceptives so I can continue to fornicate.”
  7. Is it me, or is the liberal outrage over Rush Limbaugh’s “slut” comparison phonier than a three-dollar bill? Especially considering the vile and celebratory tweets following Andrew Breitbart’s untimely death.
  8. What do Citrix, Quicken Loans, and Legal Zoom have in common? They all cancelled their advertisements on The Rush Limbaugh Show due to feigned liberal indignation. Fine by me. No doubt there will be dozens more sponsors waiting for the chance to market their products to the millions who tune in to his program.
  9. I’ve used Legal Zoom in the past to prepare a residential lease. I’ll find someone else–maybe a Georgetown Law graduate who isn’t so promiscuous.
