The Patriots beat the Broncos 41-23. Here are some post-game thoughts:
- The Broncos started the game extremely strong, scoring on their first 3 possessions. This is in contrast to the slow starts of previous games.
- Tim Tebow had good throws most of the game. There were a handful of throws (mainly to his right) that were off-target.
- Tebow proved how dangerous he can be outside the pocket, especially when rolling to his left.
- Tebow does not like to roll to his right.
- The Broncos receivers were catching the ball.
- The Patriots got gashed by the rushing attack, especially early on while the game was close.
- The Broncos’ pass rush was kept in check by the Patriots’ offensive line.
- Tom Brady torched the Broncos’ secondary when the Broncos blitzed.
- Three Broncos turnovers contributed to three Patriots scores.
- Penalties kept Brady’s drives alive and killed Broncos’ drives.
- The Broncos’ defense could not get Brady off the field in the second half.
- Aaron Hernandez had his way with the Broncos’ defense.
- The Patriots got great pressure on Tebow with four and five-man rushes.
- The Broncos had zero takeaways.
